New Construction for Twistee Treat

The image above introduces a freestanding building is constructed of three parts. The first part is the front cone and ice cream fiberglass panels that arrive from molds to the jobsite in 13 pieces that we connect together. The second part is the rear of the building that is constructed of insulated cooler panels similar to a walk in cooler. The third part is convention wood framing that connects the front and rear with FRP panels on the interior finish and stucco and paint on the exterior. The concrete is a broom finish, with concrete stain and one coat of epoxy sealer allowing the owner to clean up ice cream of it.

The next two images show the drive thru area where the order is placed. The speaker post, bollard, loop, and menu board all must be precisely located for the drive thru system to work. The speaker is installed close to the curb so it can pick up the sound of the person’s order. The yellow bollard protects the speaker from vehicle damage. The loop in the ground lets the sever inside the building know someone is at the drive thru so they can take their order. The menu board is at a precise location for reading distance. All together they make it easy for the person taking the order!

This is a typical drive thru configuration. A canopy covers the customer and server during the transfer of money and product, the yellow steel bollard keeps the vehicles from hitting the building, and the fence keeps customers from walking into the drive thru traffic lane.

The front of the building has 4 pass thru windows to allow walk up traffic for purchasing ice cream. The shelves under the windows are corian with solid wood backing in the walls to keep them in place when people constantly lean on them. The exterior paint is a special urethane coating that is extremely durable in the Florida weather.

The next image shows the rear of the Twistee Treat shows how we typically have landscape, sod, and a full irrigation system. The fence hides the AC and refrigeration equipment. You can also see the time and effort put in by the painter to draw the chocolate fudge on the top of the ice cream.
