Alan Ruth is an accomplished Operations Executive with an impressive 27-year career that includes advancement to increasingly demanding leadership roles based on his ability to drive brand growth, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs. With a solid history in both facilities and construction management, he is as much at home leading multimillion-dollar organizations as he is in managing budgets of $100M or more. His successes include building top-performing cultures, along with forming a strategic vision and leading tactical execution to improve productivity, quality, and profit.

Most recently with New Horizon Academy in Minneapolis, Alan made key contributions, as their Vice President – Facilities & Construction. He implemented best-in-class strategies for Facilities, Construction, Purchasing, IT, and Fleet. Additionally, he has reorganized departments to support brand growth for New Horizon, a $100M+ revenue national childcare provider, while driving $250K in cost savings. His successes include delivering 15 new locations and 29 remodels within 57 months, while reducing costs 15%.

Previously, as a Vice President – Facilities & Construction for Emerald & Diamond Foods in Houston, Alan was recruited to bring their $100M+ operation to the next level. He hit the ground running—implementing best practices to drive brand growth, innovation, and cost reductions. This led to management of $150M in new construction/maintenance as well as $650K in annual savings on energy bills.

Prior to this, Advantage Rent-A-Car / Denny Hecker Enterprises in Minneapolis recruited Alan as a Vice President – Facilities & Construction. While leading Facilities, Construction, and Property management for 1,000+ locations, he also oversaw a $150M+ budget, 20 operational associates, and 25 contractors. In this role, he delivered cost savings year-over-year.

Early in his career, Alan served as Director of Facilities for Hardees/CKE Restaurant in St. Louis, where he led facilities and construction operations for 700+ restaurants and oversaw a $100M+ budget. Remarkably, he spurred $8.5M in cost savings over a 3-year period.
